TASK MEETING 1-4 ENGLISH


Task 1:

Martin is visiting his cousin Beth. Complete the dialogue with some or any.
Beth    : let’s go to the cinema. There are (1) some good films on this week.
Martin : I prefer bring outside. Let’s go mountain-biking. Are there (2) any hills near here ?
Beth    : No, there aren’t
Martin : Oh. Maybe we could go for a walk in the countryside.
Beth    : There isn’t (3) any countryside near here, but there are (4) some  interesting parts of town.
Martin : Great. Let’s go and look at (5) some traffic lights.
Bath    : Don’t be silly. There are (6) some streets in the centre where there isn’t (7) any traffic. You just hate cities !

Task 2 :

I live in a small village in the south of Ireland. There are (1) a lot of old house in the village, but there aren’t (2) many  modern buildings. I love living here.
